The Murder of Thomas Baker

The Ghost of Thomas Baker This lane below Bubb Down Hill got its name due to a horrific incident that resulted in the murder of a local farmer, Thomas Baker on 10th November 1694. On the anniversary of his death, the ghost of Thomas Baker and his ghostly horse and cart can be seen retracing it's familiar route along the lane.
